Kyle Dieckman
Lead Trainer and Coach
I started my playing career at Hazen High School. I was a 4 year starter there and when I finished my years there, I was the 2nd All-Time scorer in the school's history. After high school I attended Huron University in South Dakota on a football scholarship and walked on as a basketball player as well. After that school closed down, I transferred to Bacone College in Oklahoma and finished my sport management degree while playing football.
After college, I returned home and started coaching both football and basketball at Hazen High School in 2009. In 2010, I coached football at Renton High School and basketball at Hazen High School. I coached both Boys (JV) and Girls (Volunteer Varsity Assistant) until 2013. Starting in 2014 I started coaching at Shorewood High School in Shoreline, WA. I coached both football and basketball there until 2021.
In Spring of 2022 I accepted the JV Head Coach position at The Evergreen State College. I was also coaching for the Oly Basketball Academy at that time. At that time, commuting from Kent meant I was spending too much time away from my family, so I decided to make the switch to ECBA. I have now been at ECBA going into my 3rd season. I really enjoy working with the athletes and trying to make them the best player and person they can be.
